My two and a half year old got a plan toys doll family for Christmas and loves them! The dolls are well made and have sturdy flat feet so they are easy to stand up. She was able to bend them to a sitting position easily as well. Being 2 1/2 with a baby sister, she was wishing the family had come with a baby, but I see that its available in the nursery set which I'm sure will be one of our next purchases.
