We just got this toy for our son, who just turned 1, and he loves it. We are in a music class and he loves making the concertina honk. I have to agree that the only downfall is that there is only one tone that it makes.

My 3-year-old daughter is really into music and dancing right now so I got her this concertina for her birthday. She really likes it! It's very easy for her to manipulate and she enjoys marching around the house "playing" her concertina. The only drawback I can see is that it makes only one noise--no range of sound. Otherwise, a very nice musical toy for small children.
