The butter in a tin is so cute, and definitely a quality toy that will keep for your grandkids. If you're concerned about small/chokeable food pieces, this is a great one to choose because it's quite large. My older kids play with their Haba food in their pretend kitchen all the time, and my one year old may pick up the smaller pieces but doesn't put them in her mouth. If you're concerned about small pieces, then shop carefully and watch your kids carefully, but don't be scared to buy the bigger foods! (butter, potatoes, etc.)

I am completly dissatisfied with the size of this product. I bought $50 worth of the haba foods and they are all so small. I love wooden play food and my daughters love it also, but some of the products worry me that my youngest daughter will put them in her mouth (and they are small enough to fit in her mouth).
