I love the versatility of this marble run - there are so many things you can do with the blocks. It's great that (as long as my 4-year-old and I are keeping a close eye on the marbles!), my baby can play beside us, handling and biting the blocks, which have such a beautiful smooth feel to them and of course are untreated so I don't mind him biting them. Later, as we get more focused on building elaborate tracks, the baby can also just build with these wonderful blocks. It's also a great set because there are so many great things to add to it, making it easy for friends and relatives to find a quality gift that they know he'll like (and cut down on some of the c**p we receive!). I find some of the smaller marbles don't make it around the bend with the curve blocks, but usually we just have to turn them a little, or send along a helpful "friend" to push it onward! Overall very happy with this purchase.
