I love this toy! While it is not exactly on key, the kids do not notice and I don't mind. The durability and look make up for it. Plus the price makes it an absolutely gorgeous gift.

My 10 month old son loves this xylophone. I showed him once how to hold the stick and stike the bars to make a sound, then away he went! He likes music so he loves to bang around on it. It is easliy one of his favorite toys.

My son and niece have started their own band with all of their Plan Toys. They almost always end up fighting over who gets to play with the xylophone, though. My son loves the range of sound it makes and my niece loves the colors. It is beautiful in both aspects and I think I'm going to get another to end the quarreling!

It is a very safe xylophone compared to other products with metal plates. Every edge is rounded. That's the main reason I bought it. But they can't name it "xylophone." It is horribly off key and not melodic at all. I would have chosen something else if I could have tried it before I bought it (problem of Internet shopping).
